Country Context
Uganda has made significant progress in health, education, and economic development over recent decades. However, many communities continue to face challenges related to poverty, food insecurity, limited economic opportunities, and unequal access to essential services.
CPAR Uganda recognizes that these challenges are interconnected. Healthy communities depend on secure livelihoods, access to knowledge, environmental sustainability, and strong local institutions. Through community-driven approaches, the organization works alongside local partners to strengthen the conditions that allow individuals and families to thrive.
Project Spotlight
Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre Human Development Project
Through the Dr. Paul Hargrave Memorial Centre Human Development Project, CPAR Uganda is working with communities in Lira City and Lira District to strengthen economic opportunity, leadership, and community participation. The project will train 180 participants in financial literacy, income generation, research, and communication while revitalizing the Memorial Centre as a community hub for learning and innovation. By investing in both skills and self-reliance, the project supports sustainable livelihoods and locally driven development across Northern Uganda.
