CPAR has supported the planting of more than 76 million trees, contributing to environmental restoration and climate resilience across the communities where we work.

Environmental Conservation and Climate Resilience
Environmental degradation and climate change are placing growing pressure on communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Deforestation, soil erosion, and changing rainfall patterns are affecting access to water, food production, and household livelihoods – particularly in rural areas where communities depend heavily on natural resources.
CPAR works with communities to restore and protect local ecosystems through land rehabilitation, tree planting, and sustainable natural resource management. These efforts help strengthen climate resilience while supporting healthier environments and more stable agricultural conditions.
Working alongside farmers, schools, and local groups, CPAR supports practical approaches to improving soil health, conserving water, rehabilitating degraded land, and protecting biodiversity. These activities help communities adapt to changing environmental conditions while strengthening long-term food security and livelihoods. CPAR also promotes environmental awareness through community outreach and school-based initiatives that encourage local participation in conservation and sustainable land use practices.
By combining restoration efforts with community knowledge and locally led action, CPAR supports communities in building greater resilience to climate-related challenges.
