Hope in Motion: Tanzania 2027
Experience CPAR's Work Firsthand
Join CPAR for the second annual Hope in Motion experience. This is a unique journey through Tanzania that brings supporters closer to the communities, partnerships, and programs they help make possible.
Project Overview
Many women in rural Tanzania face significant barriers to accessing timely maternal healthcare. Long travel distances, limited access to diagnostic services, shortages of trained health workers, and social barriers can delay care during pregnancy, increasing the risk of preventable complications for both mothers and newborns.
In partnership with the Government of Tanzania, local organizations, and Global Affairs Canada, CPAR is working to improve access to quality maternal and newborn healthcare across three districts in Tanzania. Through health worker training, portable ultrasound technology, community outreach, and strengthened health systems, the project helps identify pregnancy-related complications earlier, improve access to essential services, and support healthier outcomes for women, newborns, and their families.
