More than 20,000 health workers have been trained through CPAR programs -strengthening frontline care and expanding access to essential health services.

Health Systems Strengthening
For many families in rural Africa, the nearest health facility may be hours away and the trained health worker they need may not be there.
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, access to healthcare remains a major challenge. There are only about 1.5 health professionals for every 1,000 people, and nearly 615 million people across the continent lack access to basic health services.
CPAR believes lasting change comes from strengthening health systems from within. Rather than creating parallel services, we work with communities and governments to expand access to quality care where it is needed most.
Our programs focus on training frontline health workers, supporting community-based care, and introducing practical innovations such as portable diagnostic tools and digital health solutions. These approaches help bring essential services closer to remote and underserved communities.
CPAR works closely with Ministries of Health and local health authorities to ensure that programs align with national priorities and are integrated into existing systems. By building local capacity and leaving behind skills, knowledge, and resources, we help create health services that continue to serve communities long after individual projects end.
