CPAR Participates in 2026 OCIC Symposium
April 2026 - Dr. Felagot Taddese, CPAR Advisor, and Mark Loewenberger, CPAR Program Coordinator, were in Toronto to attended the 2026 Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) symposium entitled Strengthening Global Citizenship Through Collective Action.
This inspiring gathering brought together international cooperation actors, community leaders, youth, and allies to deepen understanding and the shared commitment to global citizenship.
Mark and Dr. Felagot presented an informative and well-attended session on CPAR's Remote Ultrasound Antenatal Care Access project in rural Ethiopia, focusing on how this project supports locally led and more equitable health systems in rural areas. A highlight was the discussion on how shifting decision-making and ownership to local institutions strengthens public services and improves access to care.
