Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for the Primary Schools in the Karatu District

May 19, 2021
Almost 10,000 primary school students in the Karatu District of Tanzania are getting an important education in the life-saving effects of handwashing and sanitation. Did you know that according to the World Health Organization, only 52% of Tanzanians have access to handwashing stations that use soap and clean water? CPAR is working with 15 primary schools to give them access to handwashing stations, soap and sanitizer. Over 115 handwashing stations will be built, placed near the school entrances and the latrines. If you’d like to find out more about this project, visit our project page.
