**Due to unexpected circumstances, the Ethiopia Study Tour originally planned for the spring of 2007 has been postponed until 2008.
The Study Tour Experience
Study Tour participants will have the unique opportunity of seeing development in action in rural areas of northern Uganda. You will meet with local communities, learn about CPAR's health and development programs, meet with local officials and health professionals and see first hand how life is like in both rural villages and in northern IDP camps.
Study Tour participants will learn about how CPAR projects are implemented - providing access to clean water and sanitation facilities, training farmers on natural resource management and sustainable agriculture to increase food security, working to build the capacity of grassroots committees and cooperative groups, educating communities about primary health issues, supporting landmines survivors and war-affected youth and increasing access to health facilities.
This year's Study Tour to Uganda will visit Lira, Pader, Amac and Gulu districts where participants will travel with local field staff. The tour will also include a two-night stay at Murchison Falls National Park where participants will enjoy a morning game drive and an afternoon boat trip to the base of the falls - enjoying spectacular wildlife along the way!
