Kash End of Summer Dash, 2006 Race!
Return to this year's event
Some runners have been participating for nine years, since the race’s inception, and for others it was their first time. On August 26th 2006, 124 runners laced up for the 9th annual Kash Dash in Haliburton, Ontario and raised funds for CPAR’s programs in rural Africa. Lisa Avery from Orillia, Ontario won in the women’s division with a time of 40:47 and Bart Nicholl from Parry Sound, Ontario had a winning time of 34:02 for the men.
The Kash Dash wouldn’t be complete without the 1K kids’ race. Out of 36 runners, the winner for the girls was Claire Brown from Newmarket, Ontario with a time of 4:08.2 and Preston Roberts of Haliburton, Ontario was the winner for the boys with a time of 4:08.9.
A special thanks to CPAR-Haliburton Chapter Chair, Steve Ferracuti and all of the other organizers and volunteers who have helped make the Kash Dash a successful event for the past nine years!
