CANADIAN PHYSICIANS AID AND RELIEF (CPAR)
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

CPAR welcomes volunteers to assist with day-to-day clerical work in the fundraising department. 

Time Commitment:        At least three hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Potential volunteers should be ready to commit 2 – 3 months of time to CPAR.

Duties:

  • Make thank you calls to recent donors
  • Call donors to update their addresses and other information
  • Record and compile donor survey responses
  • Prepare small mailings – sometimes including handwriting envelopes
  • Assist with basic database inputs and updates
  • Assist with general reception and administrative duties.

Desired Skills:

  • Can use Word and Excel
  • Accurate and careful data entry
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Some database experience would be an asset
