CPAR African Village Tour
November 17 –December 1, 2012
Ethiopia, the oldest independent nation in Africa, encompasses over 80 different cultural communities and is a land of exotic natural beauty and a rich history and culture.
It’s the home of the Blue Nile Gorge and historic Lalibela, the birth place of coffee and injera, and is the mythic “lost Christian empire” which sought by the Portuguese explorers in the late 1400’s, led to the full European incursion into Africa.
Ethiopia is also the country where CPAR started back in 1984.
The African Village Tour is a unique opportunity to visit this remarkable country and experience its people and CPAR’s development work first hand and up close.
The Tour takes you to the real Ethiopia to meet local villagers and farmers and experience how the determinants of health: clean water, food security, preventative health, secure livelihoods and environmental conservation come together to create healthy communities.
This is the first CPAR Tour to Ethiopia since 2002 so it will be popular.
