Changing Lives in Africa

Primary Health Care
  • Providing insecticide-treated mosquito nets to pregnant women, children and people living with HIV&AIDS, along with the organizing of an awareness-raising campaign on the benefits of using mosquito nets, to reduce incidences of malaria in Lilongwe District
  • Providing emergency malaria treatment services (within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms) to reduce malaria-related deaths in affected communities
  • Supporting District-led immunization services and campaigns with training, material goods and awareness-raising to improve the health status of pregnant women and children. 
  • Prioritizing the health concerns of extremely vulnerable individuals (such as people living with HIV&AIDS, pregnant women, children under five years of age, girls, orphans, etc). 
  • Raising awareness on issues surrounding HIV&AIDS (such as prevention, treatment, stigmatization) and other prevalent diseases through community-level education initiatives, awareness-building campaigns and support to community-based organizations.
