At Work in Ethiopia

Ethiopia is located in the Eastern Horn of Africa just west of Somalia. The country is unique amongst other African countries because it is the only country on the continent that maintained its freedom from colonial rule. The country is known for its rugged mountains, deep river valleys and wide rivers such as the Blue Nile.

Over the years, Ethiopia's communities have been challenged by many issues including drought, famine, food insecurity, a high HIV&AIDS infection rate, deforestation and desertification.
